I BECAME FREE INDEED
The only way I can explain it is that I started to experience peace, hope, and joy that’s unspeakable.
I was so excited to start my prison sentence and had this expectation that this was going to be great. If I could put it into words: “NEW BEGINNINGS”. To say the least, I had one of the best jobs in that medium-security prison at the library. I had favor with the guards and the inmates. Can you say access????? I read any and every book on business, real estate, self-development, and JESUS that they had. I was able to help inmates with typing skills, computer literacy, resume writing, etc.
Fast forward five years, I came home on 12/17/2015 at the age of 29. I had a class A CDL, but I couldn’t utilize it due to an extensive criminal history. #FELONIES, I ended up getting blessed with a delivery job at Papa John ́s Pizza, delivering pizzas on 2nd and Massachusetts Ave NW in Washington DC.
For some reason (Holy Spirit) I refused to complain. I actually adopted a new word it was called temporary.
I really enjoyed delivering pizzas and started to study for my real estate license while working 50+ hours a week. I got my DC & MD real estate license and started closing deals and you can guess what happened. GOOD BYE PAPA JOHN'S! I appreciated Papa John's for giving me an opportunity, I learned not to despise humble beginnings.
I’ve been in business for myself ever since a little over 4 years ago. Now I get to educate, mentor, and partner with others wholesaling vacant land all over the country, fishing, teaching, and traveling the country. My first trip out of the country was in 2016 to Nicaragua, Managua. It was dope, I loved the culture.
By the grace of GOD I’m debt free. My goal is to help others gain wisdom, understanding, and knowledge on how to build a business.
